A few mornings ago, I made a couple of laps around the auto-loop at Brazoria NWR. At first the light wasn’t ideal, a bit too harsh and sunny. I heard several Dickcissels singing but considering the lighting I decided to pass them up without taking any photos. Things were pretty slow so I was about to head home but decided to make one more lap. By the time I made it back to the Dickcissel the sun had gotten low enough that things started looking good. What a difference a few minutes make.
