It was fun “chasing” this little Northern Waterthrush around the water feather at the Quintana Neotropical Bird Sanctuary yesterday. Actually, I was standing still trying to follow this little bird around the rocks as it hopped around the rocks plucking tiny red worms out of the water bobbing its tail the whole time. Wow this bird is a ball of energy! Between this bird’s constant motion and the relatively low light situation I ended up taking more than 400 images just go get a handful of clear ones. When it was all done, I felt as if I had gotten a workout. It’s pretty amazing to think about this bird’s journey to its winter home and to be able to witness a tiny part of it. Safe travels!
