This American Kestrel was one of our first birds on our trip to the Lower Rio Grande Valley. The wind was howling when we arrived at South Padre Island and I think this little guy was hanging on for dear life and maybe that is why he let us get so close. It was certainly nice to see such a beautiful bird so well.
