This Double-striped Thick-knee was one of the first birds we encountered during our March trip to Costa Rica. The situation presented several photographic challenges, not the least of which was shooting almost directly into the sun. The bird is certainly an interesting one so we didn’t want to walk away from the opportunity and it ended up being a good learning opportunity. All things considered I was pleased with the outcome.
