A bird that really gets people excited here in the US is the Flame-colored Tanager. I remember chasing my first one just outside of Tucson, AZ years ago and being so excited to see it. I was actually thinking about that very day last month in Costa Rica where we saw over a dozen of them at once and at close range. I was thinking, this must be what heaven is like!
