Cyanocorax yncas

This Green Jay was from a visit to the Lower Rio Grande Valley in December of last year. At the time of the photo we were actually working on photographing a Curve-billed Thrasher but when I turned around these two characters were checking us out. I thought it made for an interesting photo of the birds in what I think of as their natural environment behaving typically. They really are fun to observe.
