On my last visit to NYC I explored the area around Grand Central Station. I found that the street becomes Library Way as you approach the NYC Public Library main building. Along a couple of blocks as you get near the library you find Library Walk, which is a series of bronze tablets embedded in the sidewalk, with quotes from literature.

Unfortunately, as anyone who has visited NYC knows, stopping on a busy sidewalk to compose and take a photo, thereby slowing the tide of humanity going both ways, is not for the faint of heart. Nevertheless, I gave it my best. I have corrected perspective as best I can, but couldn't eliminate all of the trash/gunk in places, so this is what I saw. Although I don't plan to post every one, I'll share my favorites.
