One of the selling points of the RX10M4 is the quick focus and its ability to catch, and track, birds in flight. I haven't had much opportunity to test this until I was at a park along San Pablo Bay yesterday. Unfortunately, the available birds weren't very exotic, but they did fly, so I had my opportunity. I think the camera tracked them pretty well. Any issues in focus are more likely due to my inexperience and lack of smooth panning. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied.
