Coming out of Medical R&D Command, I decided that my next assignment would be my last. William Beaumont was a great close for my Army career. It was a teaching medical center which was doing a lot of cutting-edge (pardon the expression) surgical procedures, which helped me to get back up to speed. I had wonderful support from the Hospital Command, Dept. of Nursing, the surgeons, my peers and my staff. El Paso sucked, but I'm really glad that I chose WBAMC as my last assignment.
