Our first post-retirement trip was to Costa Rica in 2012. While we were there we saw a number of dove sculptures which were decorated in peace themes, that were left over from the Planet, People, Peace Conference in 2011.

It's a beautiful country. We didn't do the beaches, except in Tortuguero, which is where the sea turtles lay their eggs at a different time of year. The weather was monsoon-like while we were there, but it was worth the trip.
