i started watching this strange looking bird from my pool about a week ago. it is built like a bluejay except black on his head, red on the side of his wings and under his belly is white . also , when he bends over to show his but feathers, they look like two big buck teeth . ive looked all over the web trying to id him with no luck .weve named him stupid because he has a thing about my husbands truck window. everytime he sits in the blueberry bush next to it, he goes on full attack. seems like he is very territorial when it comes to his tree and today we started noticing what we believe to be two more. one male and another female.

I saw a bird on my deck I'd never seen before.
It was basically gray with some black on the body but underneath the neck, it was solid
red. Somebody help!

I live in the atchafalaya basin. so blessed here to see so many types of birds. not far from where i live is Lake martin. A beautiful bird sanctuary. love to go there during nesting season. The beauty that you can veiw there is breath taking.

Great pictures like all the others! Like specially de cardinal whose colors are so vivid and each detail of the body so clear! Even the small seed in its beak is evident! The same for the female cardinal…
