The fungus Orange Peel Fungus is in the order Pezizales, making it related to morels and truffles. It is a cup fungus that stands out with its brilliant colouring. Orange peels grow in overlapping clusters, but sometimes appear singularly. No other fungus looks like this, so it is pretty easy to identify. You can find it on disturbed ground throughout North America, Europe, and parts of South America. ~ Mushroom Appreciation
