Watching volunteers catching salmon to transport them upstream was an experience I will not soon forget. The rushing water plays a key role as conservation fellows stand for hours from Sept 15-Nov 15 to net the fish and place them in a tank. They expect to collect over 10,000 salmon this year. Circle of life as Seals, Herons, Eagles, Bears all wait downstream to pick off all the ones that do not make the nets or their journey upstream.
