On a city sidewalk, on a hill, sat these dogs in a bicycle carrier/trailer. When asked if the dogs could be photographed, the owner quickly and enthusiastically said yes. He wanted his dogs out of the carrier, and I was not clear that I wanted to shoot them through the mesh. Being on a hill, he had trouble getting his bike to stay put. As he started to unzip the back, his bike started creeping down the side walk so he jumped to the front of the bike to stop it. It was then that one of the dogs BOLTED out of the carrier and at top speed, crossed the city road, and proceeded at full speed to head north, in the proper lane of course. Onlookers were horrified as was I. The man left on his bike with one dog in tow, frantically chasing the escaped dog. I slipped into my car and disappeared, not before seeing the man 3 blocks away trying to catch his dog. To my knowledge no person or animal was injured during the incident.
