The earliest-blooming of the daisies, Leopard's Bane makes a great yellow-flowered companion for late spring-flowering bulbs and is good for cut flowers. Different species and varieties range from 6 inches to 4 feet tall. The thickened, rhizomatous roots (underground stems) slowly widen to create a nice, full perennial.
Gardner's have said this flower is bullet-proof. They have ignored it, moved it, abused it, cut it and it still thrives. It's even deer and rabbit resistant, however you should be aware the entire plant is slightly poisonous.
