The Chapel of Bones. One of the best-known monuments in Evora and definitely an interesting venue. The Chapel was built in the 17th century and upon the initiative of the friars at that time, their goal was to convey the message of temporariness and fragility of human life. This message truly is conveyed to all visitors at the entrance to the Chapel through a sign "We bones that are here, for yours we wait".
