The Nanaimo River offers Bungee Jumping, swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking along it's banks, and water for Harmac Mill, all in 200 meters of river. Just 150m from the Bungee Jump and 50m from the Island Highway bridge, this industrial structure takes water from the Nanaimo River and sends it about 3 1/2km to the Harmac Mill. The beach seen just beyond the pipe see scores of sun bathers and swimmers during the summer. This river is a major salmon spawning river.
