Starrett House - 2nd (tied)

Port Townsand, Washington

The Starrett House was built in 1889 by George Starrett for his wife Ann in the Gothic & Stick architectural styles. It has 11 bedrooms and 10 baths. The rare free hung staircase that winds up the 70 foot tower culminates in a dome with frescoes of images of maidens representing the four seasons and the four virtues.

The floor plan is like a wedding cake with the floors replicating rooms, alcoves and porches stacked on each layer. These architectural wings bring more light into the house and provide views of the water and mountains and the picturesque town of Port Townsend, Washington.

During its 130 year history this house has acted as a private residence, a French restaurant, boarding house, and for the last 30 years a B&B. ~ CIRCA https://circaoldhouses.com/property/the-starrett-house/
