These cedar tree trunks reminds me of elephant feet--as if an elephant was stomping through the dry forest and stirring up an tremendous cloud of dust.

Keeping with the HDR theme for the month of August 2021 Field Trip, I had chosen to photograph my images with the HDR setting in camera. I chose the "natural" effect and adjust dynamic range with three images. By shooting HDR within the camera, it creates a JPEG image instead of a RAW image, so I was limited with the post processing. I believe I would of preferred to shoot the images in RAW format and then create a HDR image in software. I did use a tripod.
