I've always been impressed with the elegant beauty of an iris so I thought I'd do a little research on them. I found out that iris have been around for a long time. One of the earliest known artworks of an iris is a fresco in King Minos' palace on the Greek Island of Crete. The palace dates from 2100 BC.
