Mt. Bolduc, near Honeymoon Bay, BC
In memory of a Lockheed Vega-Ventura Bomber V2218 crashed on Mt. Bolduc on April 25, 1944,
killing 6 young airmen. Research indicates that the two engine bomber likely struck a tree
at an estimated 200 miles per hour and literally disintegrated. The trail of debris remains
at the crash site, which is now a Memorial for the men that lost their lives.
