Hanging from the edge of the chicken coop, this item is hollow inside. The elephant intrigued me, and I was wondering if anyone knew what this is.

Hi Willie, This looks like an anti-cat rattle that is used to keep cats out of an area you don't want them in. They don't like sudden noises. Barb B
