Bat #1

Shawnigan Lake

I'm in the process of dismantling a tree house and saw this little guy when I pulled off some boards. He is about 2 to 3 inches long and didn't want to move. He was breathing at about 60 breaths a minute.
Needless to say it stopped my project dead in it's tracks and I want compensation for this from somewhere.

Canon PowerShot S3 IS
1/60s f/2.7 at 6.0mm full exif

Hi Ed,
You are lucky to have Bats, maybe you could build a bat house with the
left over lumber from the tree house. They eat lots of mosquitoes in the
summer months.

Thanks Carl and Gail. I went on the internet to find a name for this guy, and I found it. It is called "Little Brown Bat". Also, Carl, I was standing at the top of a 12 foot ladder. Would that 1/3 exposure reduction also reduce my risk exposure? Ed

Well, it turns out it really was a TREE HOUSE, and this is the resident (or at least one of them). Nice shot, even if a bit overcompensated (hehehe).

The bat probably has family, as for your compensation, I would suggest dropping your exposure compensation 1/3. It won't help the bat problem but may get the wood grain to show a bit better. :O)-
