Hello Heather, thank you for sending this photo. I'm quite certain that
this animal is California sea lion # 1028. This is an adult male sea
lion captured and marked at Shilshole Bay near Seattle, Washington in
May 2007. At that time, he weighed 610 pounds and was 222 cm long.
Your sighting is only the 4th since his release in 2007. All the
previous sightings were at Newport, Oregon, the latest in June 2008.
