It's hard to imagine a more majestic pose -- or more Canadian (grin): "We stand on guard for thee". Excellent lighting, sharp detailing, a solid background which keeps all eyes on the heron whose eye is wide open and keenly watching. Then there's the leaves which make a sash across the heron's body. Just a stellar shot!
