Someone has spent hours on the beach chipping away at this very hard granit boulder. The carver has put no detail into the right eye. The dark line or crack in the stone gives the appearance of the eye being closed hence, it is dark. Pun intended. LOL. James T.

I like how you cropped this photo. It gives it more impact.

Perhaps pulling back a wee bit would have given that extra detail on the second eye to bring out the rock face better. Just a thought. But I like the lighting and the sharp textures.
