This poor little water-soaked downy woodpecker sure deserved his dinner, after having gotten so wet to get it. The background is complementary in colours, textures, and the crisscrossing lines. I love to sharpness of the details even wetted down and clumped together as some of the feathers are. You might consider using curves to lighten and brighten the image just slightly. That would bring out the light in the eye and the white feathers a bit more, without flashing out the white on the back. Very nice photo.
