Behind the Lens: Our History and Mission Founded in 1980 by a group of local photography enthusiasts – both amateur and professional – the Cowichan Valley Camera Club was created to share knowledge, spark creativity, and celebrate the art of photography. More than forty years later, that mission continues. Some of our founding members are still active today, mentoring others and keeping the spirit of shared learning alive within our vibrant community. Our Meeting Schedule We meet twice monthly, from September to June, and offer a variety of activities and challenges during the summer months. Location: Cowichan Valley Community Centre, 2687 James St., Duncan, BC. Time/Day: 7:00pm - 9:00pm - 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of the month Join Us on Your Photographic Journey Membership, in the Cowichan Valley Camera Club, provides access to a full range of club activities including: Seminars, Club Events, Field Trips, Competitions, an extensive Image Gallery, and an interactive Facebook Group, plus Zoom accessibility for meetings. Annual membership fee - Sept. 1st- Aug. 31st $65.00 individual - $105.00 family ***New members joining Feb 1st or later, will have their dues prorated to Aug 31st.
