Debi - it's really easy to practice if you have a nice porch to sit on with a street that doesn't have too much traffic and nobody is in a hurry. I think the trick is to get the camera to move at the same speed the object is going (which makes this rather difficult for me in the city). You should try it sometime. Penny Street

Part of the trick to a good panning shot is finding the right background, and you've done that here, Penny. The building in back is light enough to set off the car, with enough detail to be recognizable but not so much that it's distracting. Good job.

Nicely done Penny. I tried doing this type of shot with my G9 set on panning IS the other day and it wasn't very easy to keep stuff properly in frame.
