In addition to the textures sited by Debi, this has other standout patterns and devices worth mentioning, especially the the frieze of doorways across the top of the frame and the intermixed people and cars almost in equal proportions essential for what my painting teacher used to call "cross-fertilization of ideas". The juxtaposition of the two prominent elements provides social commentary as well. Was this cropped or like Cartier-Bresson and Rod, straight from the camera? -tv
