In London lampposts are located at the edge of the pavement (US sidewalk), the light illuminating the road.
However in Llanelli lampposts are erected on the other side with the lamp overhanging the pavement.This creates two hazards.
Firstly seagulls sit on the lamps and sh*t on people as they walk underneath!
Locals are aware of this danger, and look up to spot the birds, this results in the second hazard - they trip over holes in the pavement!
Sometimes its better to be in the dark. Who needs electrical power? Not the good citizens of Llanelli.
