Good scan Rod. Your vision has maintained its consistency over the years. -tv

I didn't notice any graffiti but it was hard to tell in the morning light. I just heard that 2 guys jumped the fence in the night the middle of May and chipped off some pieces from the heel stone for souvenirs! Do you drive a red Rover 400 Rod? :-D CJ

Yes it was good back then we could go anywhere & even carve our names in the stones, did you see mine Carole:-)......................Only kidding.

Actually they do, but you have to pay extra and go before or after the regular tours. You are assigned a certain time and while I really wanted to get there at sunrise, all the spots were taken so I had to go a bit after, but it was still early morning. One of my pictures from that tour a few years ago is entered in the current CSLR "Aged" gallery. CJ

Actually I don't think they let you get this close anymore do they? -COAmature

Thanks Penny, Carole, Debi & Doug:-) Yes Carole explained it how I intended Penny. Thanks Carole. Haha I should really go through me old picys & scan more in, there's not as many as it may seem because I gave up photography slowly from about 1974 & took it up again a few years ago when I bought the G2. Now you lot have got me interested again:-)

I protest too. My archives are only around an year old. This one is really good , a different POV from the usual Stonehenge pictures.

The mystery is how Rod is pulling all these stunning pictures out of 35 year old archives. Seems like an unfair advantage over 38 year old guys like me. -COAmature

I like this Rod, reminds me of my picy in CSLR! :-)
Penny, in the broad definition of cult as "A system or community of religious worship and ritual", I think the title fits as these stones never would have been erected if it weren't for the "religious/spiritual" beliefs of the people. The power and method it took to erect these monoliths must have been amazing and is still a mystery to this day. CJ

Stonehenge is a mysterious place and you have depicted that well. But I'm curious about your title.
