Unusual perspective gives a good take on this, but I too long to see the blue sky.

Thanks Penny. The subtle gray changes in the sky is why I chose to BW this shot - color doesn't provide the same range to produce that "cotton" like texture. Different opinions are what makes this fun:-) angioman

I really like the choice of b/w for this. I think the light shines (particularly onto his face) better than it would if there were a distracting color in the sky.

I don't mean all B&W, Rod. Yours look good in monotone, but for this one, with the sky, I would think color will be nicer. Just my opinion of course.
Rod 31-May-2008 04:58
But Aamm, B&W is ahrt init:-).....................We're all ahrtiiiiiiiiists:-)
aam1234 30-May-2008 22:54
B&W = I failed to take a color pic ;)
Rod 30-May-2008 22:30
Aamm.............................Bugger off:-)

Very cool photo, Angio. But honestly I'm not digging the B&W choice here. Imo, this will look even better in color.

What a happy picture - love his expression and you can almost feel the spray of the ocean, even if you can't see it! :-) CJ

I think the line of focus here really makes this pic - a man at the helm, happy to be alive and free on the sea. The sky is beautiful as well. jano

The part sun & shade on his bonce really suggests a sense of forward motion & really nice picy mate.

The gray scale tones catch my eye when the range is so perfectly balanced and complete. Beautiful execution. Not a bad portrait either.. the exhilaration of the great outdoors sailing experience. -tv
