Great shot Troy - you really captured the difficult and stressful life of a house cat with this pic:) I take it by the annoyed look you just interrupted a bath! I find the hardest thing with flash shots of cats and dogs is the red (or blue)-eye, but no such problem with this pic! - angioman

yep! This is a great photo and brings out the natural colors present in here.
Cute cat too!

Thanks Jano and Doug. It's difficult to capture the true colors of this cat but the combination of the flash and new camera makes it right on.

The flash worked well here. :) jano

The cat does look annoyed but it should be pleased that you did it justice. -COAmature

Thanks Rod. You're right about the first cat pic. I had the same feeling. The "Eyetek" is a very cheap brand from China I think. It came with a kit of lenses and other stuff a couple of years or so back. Yes, I normally would not need a flash with this camera, little noise in low light. Thanks again.

What is an eyetek Troy? The first cat picy looks typical flash but this one looks quite natural & nice, well done. your 5D does very nice high Iso low light picys so I don't know how important having a flash will be apart from this challenge. I've hardly used the 430EX flash I bought ages ago.
