Not sure how "creative" the use of flash was here, it was just required to get the shot.

The flash makes the model seem to float a faction of an inch above the moss. Interesting effect. Her face looks like Elvira. I hardly noticed the tunic for the face and legs. -tv

Thanks Debi, makes sense this has a bit of an Indian look in that the designer is from Pakistan and the model is half Pakistani.
Thanks for the critique Rod, I see what you are saying. I have about ten more of this pose I can draw from- too much material to make sense of it all really. This was the first time Leysha had ever modeled and she did a great job all things considered. Where she was laying down really wasn't comfortable, but she somehow managed to pull it off fairly well in other shots. This is the only scene we shot in landscape with the potential for this to be a a two page spread. We were so pushed for time it was tough to do too much direction from behind the lens. We even shot in the Pike Place Market which is the most crowded tourist spot in Seattle- it was crazy! Still, we may have gotten a couple of keepers there.
I hope some of these get magazine publishing in Asia, the disigner seems to be well known enough there even if her photographer is clueless :-) Her line is being picked up in the west too, so who knows where these images could show up. I'll maybe post some more later when I sort through what I have and know that is okay by all parties involved.

It qualifies of course! It worked really great as a fill in and did not leave any nasty shadows either. I would say pretty well balanced.

Nicely done Brent the exposure & flash balance look good mate. The only thing that worries me here is the legs look out of place, they seem ungainly & too prominent. This might partly be the flash shadow but mainly the pose is the problem as they don't seem to have that feminine pose with the leg being too bent & the right foot looking straight up. For flash it might have been better to have had the other leg bent & the front leg flat so it wouldn't dominate the picy so much. The model looks really nice a.
