Wow Tommy. Your comments are deep. It was intentional to barely keep the shovel in the screen but I didn't realize I was doing it to add tension or drama. -Doug

Rod, it's the negative space thingy. I think the proportions are such that the excessive negative space is pushing the ten ton machine out of the frame. There is added tension in the cropping that shows tantilizing sections such as the yellow piece in the lower left corner. We as viewers are stressed by not being able to identify it. -tv

Thanks CJ. Maybe if I find time I'll play with it in PS and see what happens. -COAmature

I was going to take a picture of a Cat against a blue sky but you beat me to it Doug! I like yours although I might have increased the contrast and USM a bit, but that's just me - I guess I like strong colors on heavy equipment! :-) CJ

This CAT is dramatic. Nice crop.

You've framed it just right Doug as this at first ordinary looking shot has something else happening. I can't put my finger on it but there's a tension in there that's making it work. Well done mate I can see you're putting lots of thought into your compositions lately & it's really paying off.

Thanks Jano. This CAT is proof that I'm struggling to find something worthy and on topic. -COAmature
