Well, I'm glad you explained it, Rod. I had thought they were something attached to boats...you know, string lines through them for mooring. So I learned something new today!

hmmm. I missed this version. I like the addition of the blue at the top and bottom (for the topic) but I think I like the minimalistic color in eligible better (and the shadow). This is nice though.

Thanks Mary Anne:-) The cats eyes are the rubber thingys down the centre road with reflectors built into them so you can see the middle of the road at night as the whole centre line lights up from your headlights. They have reflectors that go all the way across now but the old ones just had two little round onesthat looked like cats eyes when lit up. The blue one in this picy denotes there's a fire hydrant in the direction of the arrow on the footpath, the reflectors are on the right & left sides as we look at it. Because they're rubber they flatten to the road as you drive over them & pop up again. They're on all our roads here in Oz & in the UK too.

I like the blurred movement, Rod...almost like strokes of a paintbrush. I'm still a bit confused, though. What are those things that you call "cats eyes"? BTW I'm glad to see that now you're having fun with your new camera.

Thanks Lydia & Gerald:-) I was just standing at the side of the road focused on the yellow & blue cats eyes & trying to get some of the blurred cars going by on the far side of the cats eyes. Just to see how they turned out I took some of cars & boats on trailers & push bikes (one in Eligible) that passed between me & the cats eyes. I thought the only shots I would be able to use would have been cars passing on the far side but the best picys were the unexpected of cars passing between me & the subject. That's part of wot's great about this hobby, always some pleasant surprises in store:-)
