Simply beautiful, Sueanne.

Thank you :)
I'm lucky to get this shot as now the skies are cloudy and rainy.
(It pays to have some corn to shoot with.)

love the composition of this one - it jumped out on me on my quick whizz through the gallery. really like it - and I love the way these galleries reflect all our different countries/lives/views/lifestyles etc. I love that especially with your shots sueanne!- claire

Do not quite remember the original version but I can tell you that this one is fantastic, colors as well as composition, Sue Anne. -Gerald

Just the right amount of color here Sueanne. It's such a great picture I wouldn't want to see it blown up just for sake of the topic. -COAmature

Looks good to me Debi

same here. I'm not sure what all the controversy was about, but this looks great now.

Nice one, Sue Anne. I didn't see the original, but I like this one a lot.

That's the way Suey, I think your version looks best of all:-)
ctfchallenge26-Apr-2008 03:55
Thanks for the souped up versions in pending.
I did up abit of saturation and contrast... I think corn will never look the same. :)
(not sure what saturation sponge is but learning more about pp)

I think we should set up a voting booth & see who's is the most fantastic:-)
I should do that too Lydia, I delete them when I can upload to Pending but when I did the mini challenge & had to post to me picy hosting site. Now when I look through the galleries I come across other posters picys & think "is that one of mine" Wouldn't it be embarrassing if we posted someone else's picy as one of our own:-)
ctfchallenge26-Apr-2008 03:11
LOL! I didn't save it... already deleted the original off of my computer, in fact. I'm paranoid that I'll forget I didn't shoot something and post it as mine. My mind is bad. :) ~Lydia
ctfchallenge26-Apr-2008 02:02
Or mine! :-D CJ
Rod 26-Apr-2008 01:38
Post it in Pending Lydia then we can see if it's better than the fantastic job I did:-)
ctfchallenge26-Apr-2008 01:19
I took the liberty of downloading this, upping the saturation and the contrast... and I like it very much. Try it and see what you think, sueanne. ~Lydia
Rod 26-Apr-2008 01:16
I like the natural look you have here but for a yellow & blue topic I would whang the saturation up some. I did one just using the saturation sponge in PS but just the saturation slider would do the same. I stuck it in pending. Maybe have a play with the saturation & nothing should blow out.

Thank you Rod. This corn will be used for livestock not people. :)
BTW - Should I lighten this up more or put more contrast/usm in it? I wanted to not blow out the shadows...
Thanks you CJ and Tv - actually this was on the shadow part of the crib not in the direct sun. I tried this scene before and the corn got really too BH.

Look at all this bio fuel, I remember the old days when this used to be food:-)
Nicely done Suey:-)
ctfchallenge25-Apr-2008 23:00
Really nice Sue Ann! A little more contrast and USM would really make the colors stand out a bit more. I just have a feeling the yellows were a bit brighter in person! :-) CJ

This will drive Rod to get out his magnifyer again. Did you deliberately tone down the colors or was it just the flat lighting? Good natural shot. -tv
