Too Big to Fly With

He was easy to catch, but too heavy to fly with... so there he lies, dead. *heavy sigh*

Another way of looking at it could be: He escaped his captor, but was still just like a fish out of water... *another heavy sigh*

Or perhaps: Fish gotta swim... Birds gotta fly... and neither was happening. Point goes to the Bird.

I hate that bird.

Yes, it was my goldfish. *sigh* ~Lydia

An osprey once dropped a two pound carp in my back yard. I felt sorry for the osprey having lost its dinner. Was this your goldfish? -tv

Thanks, Ang. LOL @ Rod. I'll have to be on the lookout for that shot for you. Unfortunately, I'll be screaming at the fool bird and will miss the shot. Grrrr.... ~Lydia

Wot a con job I never knew that gold fish were only gold on the top bit we see when looking down into the pond:-) I would have preferred a picy of the bird actually dropping the fish from its beak but I spose this will do:-)

Looks great to me Lydia - I like the sat and color! My only suggestion is a slightly tighter crop - it may bring out the subject more. And I enjoyed the caption! - Angioman

Thank you, Brent. I do appreciate your honesty.
I did use a filter... thought the bare death thing might not be the most pleasant photo ever... so I'd make it a tad bit more palatable with 'artsy'. I hope others agree. *sigh* ~Lydia

Cool shot lydia, but it has me wondering about the processing as I did with Mikey's landscape shot. To me anyway, it looks like the fill light was cranked way up to the point that it lacks contrast and realistic shadows. There are times when an escape from reality is okay, I'm not sure that applies to this image though. Sorry, just giving my honest opinion- and I may be in the minority here :-)
