I guess it depends on what progress means to you, Tommy. 10 years ago, none of those custom homes / 5 acre ranchettes were there. I call it "rural suburbia". The barn's been there since ~1890 and its been designated a historical landmark by the county and the developer, though ironically, its in a flood plane and he couldn't build there anyway. Oh, and this isn't my place. I live over to the right, about 5 miles into the trees. Cheers, -mikey

Progress slow in this part of CO Mikey? Probably better for it. Are those new houses encroaching on your place? Ironic how "progress" has taken on such destructive environmental implications and no one speaks of it anymore. -tv

Thanks, Tom & Lydia, for the kind words. Admittedly, I did whiz bang this a bit, but not the Lucis-like. It just looks like it did with my eye, not my cam. IOW expanded the dynamic range with RAW processing. Cheers, -mikey

Nice colors, focus & DOF. That must be a nice lens? 'wink'

Beautiful setting and composition Mikey, but something seems slightly off to me though- possibly contrast. Did you do some of that Lucis effect whiz bang stuff on this one? Maybe it is just me?

This is beautiful, Mikey! Makes me think of what Little House on the Prairie was like after some real 'progress'. *smile* Beautiful sky and grass colors together. ~Lydia
