How ironic that due to the quick-build method used to construct the building, the only way it could be demolished was from the ground floor upwards - resulted in costing more and taking longer to demolish than construct!

I think the visual impact speaks for itself. No explanation needed. The weightiness of the black block of a building seems quite precarious on the remaining wooden looking pillar. -tv

Ironic?

Knocking down upwards - perhaps not.

Though it is ironic, that the demolition of the building was technically more challenging than building it.
