Thanks to everybody.
@tv: This is a Canon 40D with a Canon-mount lens and a Nikon lens cap; both brands can live together in perfect harmony ;-) The lens is a Sigma 18-200.
Sorry for the missing image data. This shot was taken with a Nikon D80 (which actually belongs to my wife now); I am in my office now and shall complete the tech notes when at home.

Is this one of those conversion mounts? I've been considering but I understand everything is manual which is ok except the aperture which is stopped down all the time. Nice shot makes us wonder what was the camera/lens taking the photo? -tv
