Ouch.. then follow your own heart! To me, this breaths better now, but it's a matter of taste. If in doubt, consult someone whose judgment you trust. 10 "strangers" can have 10 different ideas about cropping - which can easily get rather confusing.

This picture is a good example how differently people see. For me - this crop is not as good as the first one. What I have seen and tryed to capture was quasi geometrical image with the rock building the center of the image and boats, all radial pointing to it. I agree that clouds look better when they build V shape from the middle, but they were (and are) secondary in this picture for me.
But the image I have seen and tryed to capture does not exist any more. The link Boats Rock is lost here.
Konstantin.

Konstantin, I do prefer this crop - the V config of the clouds centers much better. Nice job on the exposure - really gives a great dynamic range. - Angioman

Karl, Angi,
thank you for your comments. Angi - No - this is not HDR and yes, you are right, I wanted to have the rock in the middle with radial long-tail boats looking at it. Ok, I'll download a corrected version, Will check wich one looks better.

beautiful range - did you use a HDR technique? I think I also have to agree with Karl on the composition, a bit off center but I guess you were working off the majestic rock in the center background. - Angioman

I like the horizontal bands of sand, water, hills, and sky. But, I keep wanting to scroll to the right and get the bottom of the "V" shape cloud gap into the middle! I want to see more of those dark clouds to the right and get the apparent radial pattern of the boats and tall rock to shift off-center.
