Great short light that looks almost like rim light. I haven't seen this before. The hat and the glowing hair flow also add a lot to the image. Excellent execution! And I especially like the color tone that is monotone naturally too.

Thanks Julie! Shot this outside, late on a cold snowy night. Placed the slave 430 speedlight to her right and slightly behind. Triggered using my macro MT24EX camera mounted - both heads dialed down (1/64 power) with one head angled toward the 430, the other provided some forelight. She is quite the trooper - it was a bit nippy out that night!

Lovely! I might have cloned out the hairs on the left but, then again, maybe not! The bright spot on the far right bottom is a little distracting though and could either be cloned out or maybe even cropped out for a tighter composition. CJ

How absolutely wonderful! The light on the hair adds a magic touch. Glad you didn't change this to monochrome, as the golden light is excellent. I would love to know what lighting you used here. Julie
