Thanks for your comment TV. This was taken very early in the morning, hence the tall shadow. The vase is actually about 30cm (1 foot) tall. Julie

Thie has a sense of scale much larger than it actually is. Some images just cry for display in oversized enlargements. This seems to me to be one of those. I think it is the long shadow that belies the diminutive size of the vase and demands a monumental showing. -tv
