I appreciate the comments- thanks much all :-) The hardest thing about doing this shot was protecting my gear. I setup my tripod (yes I'm not that steady Tommy) behind a big cement ball type barrier where I thought I would be out of the way of foot traffic, only to find out kids love to run and jump along from barrier to barrier. After a couple of near disasters I changed my location ;-) The needle is lit by large floodlights aimed up from the ground as well as what appear to be flourescent lamps that run around the slightly inside rim of the platform. This shot was taken when the artificial light was just starting to edge out the natural light giving it a unique look I thought.

PS; that was me, all the way down at the bottom of the comments. Thought I was signed in.

Is this lit up Brent? It does look so clear & fresh looking. Excellent picy mate. This makes me want to rush down to get a picy of me lighthouse:-)

Rising sun. Like how clear and clean everything is. Well done, Brent.

Great control of colors and resolution for 1/2 sec. Please say you used a tripod. -tv

Very nice looking up and excellent details of the Space Needle. I knew it was a Brent picy. :)

Thanks mystery person and Debi :-) This is is a twilight shot of the Seattle Space Needle's seedy underbelly. You can see part of the elevator that brings people up to the viewing platform in the center of the image.
