It works for me Tom, The mirror acts as you say as a frame and you hardly even notice it. :-) Carrhighlander

Using part of the Jeep to see part of the Jeep. Clever way to hit the topic. -COAmature

Very clever shot Tom! I did one of these for a different challenge so I might be a little prejudiced! Well done! :-) CJ

Thanks Rod, I knew the eyes would be drawn to the yellow & the mirror acts more or less as a frame. The question was, how much out-of-focus worked best / could I get away with?. I also tried to get less background on the right, but then 'Jeep' couldn't be read as well.

Now is this a picy of the whole wing mirror or a picy of the OOF yellow Jeep. Normally our eyes will go to the in focus part of a picy which would make this off topic as the whole wing mirror is in focus. Now for some reason whether it's because we always look into our wing mirrors & not at them I seem to look at the yellow Jeep & not the wing mirror. This might be a very clever picy & is the reason we can never say never when saying how an on topic picy should look. I have been telling others not to think when looking at the picys & to just use the visual impact, so on that basis because I cant take my eyes off the yellow part Jeep it must be on topic. It only goes off topic when I start thinking about the picy & then I make the wing mirror the focal point. This topic isn't about thinking so very well done Tom.
