Thanks Rod. He had been gradually failing for the past two years, so the end was almost predictable. He was an avid amateur sailor, and we spend many days cruising the Chesapeake Bay area in his Grampion 26, which I believe was made in Australia. In 1976 at the bicentennial Op-Sail celebration in NY, he sailed up from Virginia, and I returned with him on the two day sail back from NY. What a time it was. -tv

I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad Tommy, I was wondering why you were so quiet. You have translated your mood in these picys which is good therapy for you. What a great age to live to, the things your Dad has seen in 90 years I can only imagine. Was he in poor health for long? I hope not but sometimes when we lose someone regardless of their age who seems in good health the shock seems all the greater. Now you have some of these grieving shots out of your system I think you should take some shots that celebrate your Dads long life. You know some of the things your Dad enjoyed or was interested in. Sometimes we feel guilty to do happy things so soon after someone has died but if they could speak they would tell you to cheer up & think of all the good things of his life, some of the times you had together. Even reflect on how lucky you were in having a Dad at your ripe old age:-)
Anyhow our best wishes to you & your family & I hope you can put a smile on their faces soon.
Good onya Tommy.

My condolences Tom. These icicles are like daggers through the heart and this does project a very somber and sad feeling . CJ
