Thanks Penny and Claire. I think what Penny meant by the original is the photo I linked to. Also, Penny is right, it's easier to figure out from the thumb. Maybe what confuses people is that only part of the horse's face is showing.

Thanks again, ladies.

am I missing something here? Did you post the original and I blinked and missed it? I like the fact that this is hard to see at first - like one of those puzzles you have to half focus on before you see it (but it does make me feel less of an idiot that other people didnt nstantly see it too!!).v compelling viewing!...claire

I don't know if anyone should trust my instinct here but I think the problem could be that there isn't much of the rider image included in this. In the original photo it is very clear what the image is because at the bottom you can see the two arms and gloves and then their movement takes you into the rest of the photograph. Your photo is way more abstract. I happen to really like it. It's well titled too!

Hey, it's nice to get responses (including Claire's). Thank you, ladies.

In this photo I cropped most of the horse's face, in the original the whole face is showing. Do you want me to post the original in Pending? Please let me know.

To figure it out though, I think it helps to see/examine the thumb. It's clearer there.

I'm really feeling dense here. I see the horse's ear and the rider's ear. I read what you all say. I asked my daughter and she can see it immediately.

I can't see this. I try. I don't understand it. I want to.. .I really am trying. I just can not see the horse and rider here. *heavy sigh* ~Lydia

I would have never seen the horse and jumper. I thought it was looking out over a balcony in a hotel and the view was from someone who was going to plummet into the potted plant below. LOL!

Thanks, and glad you liked it Claire.

now you tell me its so obvious! sorry! Now I really like it - the hat, the horse, the stirrups...I like the fact that the parts which make the subject are spread around - like a broken up jigsaw. great effect!..claire

It's a horse & rider jumping, Claire.

Go on give us a clue - what are we looking at here?! Its like one of those "what is it" photos. V intriguing and I can see branches but I have no idea what is jumping! ...claire
