Great idea, but I thought Dogs only could see in black and white? Then again...I guess we have no way of knowing if they dream in color. There, I think I just convinced myself this is excellent use of artistic license. Good job!

Excellent image!

Cute idea and you can tell this animal is a cutie! The images imposed in the eye tell us a lot about his/her personality.

Would you mind if I pictured my own ball, car, and bone but barrowed your dog's eye? Nicely done. -COAmature

LOL, What a good sport you are, d! My dogs' tennis balls are slimier than that. *wink* Your Greta must be a neat retriever of balls. *smile* ~Lydia

You guys are tough...*grin*. OK photo redone. This is her ACTUAL tennis ball. I couldn't find it the first time around but she knew where it was and brought it to me when I asked her for it. This is her ACTUAL dog biscuit. Not used the first time because it's kidney-shaped and not bone-shaped. This is the ACTUAL car she rides in. Not used originally because I wanted a red car. ;^) ....d.tallakson

Legally, I believe it would be considered a derivative work, so there shouldn't be an issue with using the work of others here. Personally, I have never composited an image that wasn't all of my own work, b/c I'd feel like it was a collaboration, not all mine. I don't have a problem with this instance though. I've had a problem in the past if someone has used a stock sky, for example. Skies take some skill to shoot correctly, and are such a large part of the picture... Here, I'm ok though. They look like clipart and I'm not getting the impression that the photographer is trying to pass it off as his own work, because they are obviously pasted-in images, unlike my sky example, where it appears to be part of the original work. ~ Lonnit

Brent, she loves going for rides. She seems to know when she might be able to go and when she can't. I don't know how she figures it out. d.tallakson

It is a good parody of the original. My personal opinion is that when you post a composite, each piece of the composite should be your original work. - J.V.

Lots of fun :-) Is the car there because your dog likes to chase them or maybe go for a ride in them? Great detail captured.

No, she'd never hurt the mail carrier. She barks everyday just to tell the carrier how much she likes him. :^) d.tallakson
